Overview:

We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead to drive the migration of enterprise data pipelines and data storage from Oracle ODS to Microsoft Fabric. This role requires strong experience with Ellucian Banner SIS and Banner ODS, along with hands on cloud data engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead modernization and migration of Oracle ODS/ODI workloads (part of Ellucian Banner ODS) into Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse).
  • Redesign ETL/ELT processes and data models for Fabric-native architecture.
  • Analyze integrations and data flows from Ellucian Banner SIS and Banner ODS to Fabric.
  • Manage offshore data engineers deliverables, set standards, and ensure delivery quality.
  • Partner with functional and technical teams to support reporting and analytics continuity.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 10+ years data engineering experience, including cloud migrations.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle ODS, ODI, SQL, PL/SQL, and Python.
  • Expertise with Banner SIS and Banner ODS (must-have).
  • Expertise with Cognos/Argos: Commonly used reporting tools to query the ODS/EDW.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data services, Power BI and modern data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL architecture.
  • Experienced in managing offshore resources and delivering projects in a offshore model

Experience

  • Required- Higher education technology background.
  • Experience with Power BI, CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub), and governance frameworks.
  • Banner ODS, and Fabric expertise
