Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) with strong TypeScript expertise and hands-on experience in Playwright automation. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable test frameworks, build robust end-to-end UI and API automation suites, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to quality engineering best practices across the SDLC.
Key Responsibilities (All Levels)
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript
- Design reusable automation frameworks and components (Page Object Model, fixtures, utilities)
- Automate UI and API test scenarios and expand regression coverage
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable execution and reporting
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and logs
- Improve test stability by reducing flakiness, optimizing runtime, and enhancing debugging practices
Required Qualifications
- Strong automation experience with Playwright (preferred) and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of testing principles: functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
- Experience working with Git in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI
- Ability to write clean, maintainable automation code and participate in code reviews
Preferred Qualifications
- API automation experience (Playwright API, REST, Postman, Pact, etc.)
- Experience with reporting tools (Allure, Playwright HTML Reporter, JUnit, etc.)
- Exposure to performance/load testing tools (k6, JMeter)
- Experience with cloud platforms and containers (Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and visual testing tools
