DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
The organization is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Technician II to provide comprehensive enterprise data center infrastructure and service support.
REQUIRED SKILLS: (Need All)
• Data Center Hardware & Cabling: 3+ years installing, decommissioning, and troubleshooting data center IT hardware plus power and data cabling infrastructure.
• Data Center Design & Management: 3+ years of experience with data center design and management concepts. This is a key requirement for the repost and candidates should demonstrate more than narrow networking or hardware-installation experience.
• Facilities / Security / Vendor Coordination: 3+ years working closely with facility maintenance and security staff, solution vendors, and customers to support data center operations.
• Physical Infrastructure & Connectivity: 3+ years working in data center environments supporting data and power distribution and developing the physical infrastructure and network connectivity for installations at data center facilities.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
• Knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDUs, chillers, and air-handling units.
• Experience working with a data center visitor-management system.
• Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools.
INTERVIEW PROCESS:
• First-round interviews are 45 minutes via Microsoft Teams. The second round is conducted onsite at 5830 Femrite Drive in Madison, WI
