Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Functional SME to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA TM solutions for complex enterprise logistics environments. This role requires strong functional expertise, leadership capability, and client-facing consulting experience to bridge business logistics processes with SAP TM technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, guide strategic decisions, mentor team members, and deliver high-quality SAP TM solutions aligned with business objectives in a professional services setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and configure SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) solutions to support complex logistics and transportation business processes.
• Act as a functional SME, providing advisory and consulting support to business stakeholders and project leadership.
• Lead and influence team-level technical and functional decisions, ensuring alignment with best practices and program goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Provide end-to-end ownership of TM E2E processes, including planning, execution, freight settlement, and integration touchpoints.
• Develop innovative, scalable SAP TM solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
• Conduct functional testing, issue analysis, debugging, and support UAT activities to ensure solution quality and performance.
• Mentor and guide junior consultants, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and project tracking using Jira, as applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

• SAP S/4HANA TM: Advanced hands-on configuration experience.
• SAP Transportation Management (TM): Expert-level functional knowledge (P3 – Advanced).
• Logistics & Transportation Processes: Deep understanding of end-to-end TM business processes.
• Consulting & Advisory Experience: Proven success in client-facing roles within professional services environments.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead teams, facilitate decision-making, and work effectively across functions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear SAP solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• SAP TM integration experience with SAP EWM.
• SAP TM Certification.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with Jira for sprint and issue management.
• Prior experience in the Life Sciences / Healthcare industry.
