AI Architect

Role: AI Architect

Location: Hybrid, onsite in Reston, VA, once every 2 months. Candidates MUST reside on the East Coast.

Direct client

• Data Science and AI experience is a must
• Data Scientist/ AI/ML Engineering Backgrounds
• A lead Data Scientist with an understanding of Solution design
• A hands-on solution architect with Data Science and AI experience

Summary: CareFirst is looking for an AI Architect to help understand and design AI solutions, and to identify the best LLM, architecture, and prompts to use. The hired resource will be working with Data Scientists and Engineers to build ML models. There s also a future possibility of working with Gen AI/Agentic AI-related projects in the future.

• 6+ years of data science and architecture experience (Recent experience should be in the role of AI Architect, Data Science Architect, or AI Solutions Architect)
• 3+ years of AI architecture experience
• Experience with AWS services such as Kendra, Aurora, SageMaker, MongoDB, and S3 (Either Kendra or SageMaker is required)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Gen AI or Agentic AI
• Data Science background
• Healthcare industry background
