The Intel Data Center Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior GPU Validation Engineer where you will define, develop, and perform functional validation for Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), focusing on the interaction of GPUs with media, display, and system-level features. You will apply various hardware and software tools and techniques to ensure comprehensive validation coverage and achieve performance, power, and area goals. This role requires regular onsite presence to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and fulfill essential job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Senior GPU Validation Engineer
GPU Validation Planning & Execution
Define, develop, and execute comprehensive functional validation plans for GPUs, focusing on media,display, and system-level features
Apply hardware and software tools to ensure thorough validation coverage and meet performance,power, and area objectives
Test interactions between various GPU features using advanced validation infrastructure
Review proposed design changes to assess their impact on validation plans, tasks, and timelines
Validation Methodology & Infrastructure Development
Develop innovative GPU validation methodologies and collaborate with engineers for designoptimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis
Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure, including performance monitors, behavioral checkers,and state space coverage
Work with architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teamsto maintain and improve debug and validation test strategies
Silicon Debug & Issue Resolution
Perform comprehensive silicon debug to identify root causes and resolve functional and triagefailures for GPU issues
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complexGPU validation challenges
Develop solutions proactively to address potential challenges before they impact project timelines
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
Publish detailed GPU validation reports summarizing all validation activities, review results, andcommunicate findings to relevant teams
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuousimprovement
Maintain excellent communication to clearly convey validation findings and technicalrecommendations

Qualifications:
The Minimum qualifications are required to be considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or in a STEMrelated field of study and 5+ years of industry experience
4+ years of experience in SystemVerilog/UVM-based pre-silicon validation focusing on bootsequences, reset functionality, power management, and system controller functions in SoC or IPdesigns containing microcontrollers
Preferred Qualifications:
Post graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or in aSTEM related field of study
Experience with driving pre-silicon validation as technical lead as well as working as Individualcontributor
Experience with GPU pre-silicon validation
Validation experience with interactions between HW and FW
