Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Sr Supply Chain Specialist for a contract position with a Global Life Sciences Company located in Plainville, MA. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.
This role supports the Supply Chain team by coordinating purchasing and material activities to ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules. The position focuses on order management, inventory tracking, and communication with internal teams and suppliers to maintain the flow of materials for a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role supports the Supply Chain team by coordinating purchasing and material activities to ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules. The position focuses on order management, inventory tracking, and communication with internal teams and suppliers to maintain the flow of materials for a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and expedite purchase orders to support production schedules
- Follow up with suppliers on purchase order status and delivery dates
- Resolve routine purchase order discrepancies, including pricing, quantities, and invoice issues
- Monitor material availability and communicate potential shortages or delivery delays to the Supply Chain team
- Support weekly material readiness meetings by providing status updates on open orders and critical materials
- Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Maintain accurate purchasing and material information in SAP, including lead times, pricing, and vendor information
- Review inventory levels and assist with material replenishment activities
- Perform routine SAP transactions related to purchase orders, inventory, and material movements
- Assist with maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material master data as assigned
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, reports, and documentation
- Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives as needed
- Perform other administrative and supply chain support duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, or inventory coordination
- Experience using SAP or another ERP system is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
