Data Center Technician - W2

Hi,

The following requirement is open with our client. 

Title                                       :  Data Center Technician

Location                               :  Austin TX

Key Responsibilities:

·         Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision servers

·         Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment

·         Perform server hardware troubleshooting and quality checks

·         Resolve hardware-related issues through ticketing systems

·         Install and configure operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Unix)

·         Perform basic hardware diagnostics and logical troubleshooting

·         Ensure compliance with data center safety standards

·         Support RAID configuration (preferred)

·         Assist in web server and database installations (preferred)

Required Skills:

·         Strong hands-on experience in server hardware deployment

·         Basic networking knowledge

·         Understanding of port mapping and different cable types

·         Experience with hardware troubleshooting

·         Awareness of data center safety requirements

·         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

·         Comfortable standing for extended periods and working on ladders

·         Ability to work in rotational shifts.
