Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager – Non-Epic EHR & Third-Party Applications
Key Responsibilities
· Lead project management activities for all non-Epic EHR systems and related applications
· Serve as the primary point of coordination between non-Epic application teams, Epic teams, clinical stakeholders, and IT leadership
· Manage integrations and data exchanges between Epic and non-Epic systems
· Oversee third-party application projects including implementation, upgrades, conversions, archiving, and decommissioning
· Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies
· Coordinate requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and data mapping across multiple systems
· Partner with vendors and system integrators to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met
· Ensure data integrity, validation, and testing throughout project lifecycles
· Maintain compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare data retention standards
· Facilitate testing phases including system testing, interface testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
· Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and issues
· Support operational readiness, training coordination, and go-live planning
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field
· 5+ years of healthcare IT project management experience
· Experience supporting non-Epic EHR platforms and/or ancillary clinical systems
· Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, interfaces, and data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR, etc.)
· Proven experience managing third-party vendors and application partners
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
· PMP or equivalent project management certification
· Experience working in hybrid Epic and non-Epic environments
· Familiarity with clinical, revenue cycle, imaging, and specialty systems
· Experience with system integrations, data conversions, or application archiving
· Hospital or large health system experience
