Job Title: Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO Technical (Data Migration)

DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to join our team and lead the technical design, development, and optimization of a customized D365 F&O environment. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in X++, extension-based development, integrations, and ecosystem technologies such as Power Platform, Azure Application Insights, Azure Services, and third-party system integrations.
  • The candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and evolving a complex enterprise solution landscape with numerous customizations and interconnected applications.

Key Responsibilities-

  • Solution Design & Development:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality customizations and extensions in D365 F&O using best-practice extension patterns.
  • Enhance and optimize existing custom features to improve performance and maintainability.
  • Lead technical solutioning for new business requirements while minimizing future upgrade impact.
  • Create technical specifications, architecture documentation, and solution designs.

Environment & Customization Management:

  • Maintain a customized D365 F&O environment with large codebases and complex dependency structures.
  • Optimize feature management, configuration, and code deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot environment issues across DEV, UAT, and Production; coordinate with Microsoft as needed.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with performance and coding standards.

Integration & Ecosystem Development:

  • Architect, implement, and support integrations with external systems using:
  • Azure Logic Apps
  • Azure Functions
  • Data Management Framework (DMF)
  • OData/REST services
  • Custom APIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and manage real-time and batch-based integrations.
  • Develop Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate) that augment D365 capabilities.
  • Monitoring & Operational Excellence:
  • Implement and configure Azure Application Insights for runtime telemetry and troubleshooting.
  • Build monitoring dashboards and alerts to proactively manage performance and exceptions.
  • Analyze telemetry to identify system bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Serve as a senior technical advisor to functional consultants, architects, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct structured knowledge transfer.
  • Partner closely with business teams to understand requirements and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release coordination.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development.
  • Deep proficiency in X++, D365 extensibility framework, and overlayering remediation (Require 8+ years of hands-on experience)
  • 8+ years of hands-on proven experience working in high-customization environments with complex codebases.
  • Strong understanding of Finance & Supply Chain management modules and underlying data models (Require 8+ years of hands-on experience)
  • Expertise in Azure integration technologies:
  • Logic Apps, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure Functions (Require 8+ years of hands-on experience)
  • OData/Custom service creation in D365 (Require 8+ years of hands-on experience)
  • 5+ years of Hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Nice-to-have experience deploying and analyzing Azure Application Insights telemetry.
  • Nice-to-have Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for D365.
  • Ability to read, refactor, and optimize legacy custom code.
  • Good comprehension of English – verbal and written language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications in D365 or Power Platform.
  • Experience with Dataverse and virtual entities.
  • Performance tuning expertise across D365 environments.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as RSAT, Executive Automats or automated code testing.
  • Knowledge of data migration strategies and Cutover activities.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
