Senior JAVA AI Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior AI Developer to drive AI-enabled software engineering practices while designing, building, and modernizing large-scale, cloud-native enterprise systems. This role requires a Senior-level engineer who actively leverages Generative AI coding assistants across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and applies strong engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, and performance in high-availability, regulated environments. The position combines advanced Java and cloud development expertise with hands-on AI/ML implementation and system modernization experience.

• AI-Assisted SDLC Execution: Expert, daily use of GenAI coding assistants to accelerate development, testing, refactoring, automation, and documentation with full ownership of output quality.
• Enterprise Java & Cloud Microservices: Design and development of high-throughput, highly available Java/Spring microservices in cloud environments.
• System Modernization & Transformation: Migration of legacy, monolithic systems to distributed, cloud-native architectures.
• Spec-Driven & Agentic Development: Translating low-level designs (APIs, data models, class diagrams) into structured specifications that guide AI-assisted implementation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML implementation in production environments
• 6+ years of cloud, microservices, and CI/CD experience

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flower Mound, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $86.00 - $90.00/hr.
