Summary

Position : .Net Developer with Harness

Location : 100% Remote

Duration : 6 months

We are seeking a senior-level Software Engineer IV to join an established team responsible for .NET applications, .NET Framework solutions, and SQL-based processes. The engineer will take ownership of complex security-remediation assignments across the existing application portfolio and help the team address a substantial backlog of vulnerability findings.

The successful candidate will bring advanced hands-on development experience and the ability to analyze scan results, determine appropriate remediation strategies, implement secure solutions, and complete unit testing within short turnaround periods. The engineer should be comfortable operating with limited supervision and may also contribute to new development or modernization initiatives as capacity permits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and remediation of complex vulnerabilities across existing .NET applications.
  • Review application-security scan findings and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Design and implement secure code changes using ASP.NET Core, C#, and the broader .NET ecosystem.
  • Assess legacy .NET Framework components and recommend effective remediation or modernization approaches.
  • Develop and maintain data-access components using Entity Framework.
  • Design, enhance, and troubleshoot SQL Server solutions.
  • Develop and optimize advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database processes.
  • Perform comprehensive unit testing and validate that changes resolve identified vulnerabilities without introducing regressions.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for complex application, database, and deployment issues.
  • Provide technical guidance on secure coding, remediation strategy, and solution implementation.
  • Review code and help ensure changes meet engineering, security, and quality standards.
  • Use Git to manage source code and collaborate with other engineers.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments, including workflows implemented through Harness.
  • Produce clear technical documentation covering findings, code changes, testing, and deployment requirements.
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with a geographically dispersed remote team.
  • Support new projects, application enhancements, and modernization efforts when remediation priorities allow.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced software-development experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and the .NET ecosystem.
  • Strong experience supporting both modern .NET and legacy .NET Framework applications.
  • Advanced experience with Entity Framework and enterprise data-access patterns.
  • Strong SQL Server development expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency with T-SQL, stored procedures, and database troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience diagnosing and remediating application defects or security vulnerabilities.
  • Strong understanding of secure-development principles and application-security risks.
  • Experience developing unit tests and validating complex code changes.
  • Proficiency with Git-based source-control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to independently manage complex, time-sensitive remediation work.
  • Ability to provide technical direction and collaborate effectively within a remote engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience remediating vulnerabilities identified through automated security scans.
  • Experience using Harness for application deployments.
  • Experience reviewing code or providing technical guidance to other engineers.
  • Background modernizing or securing enterprise .NET applications.
  • Experience contributing to architectural or technical-design decisions.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed Agile teams.

Technical Environment:

  • C#
  • ASP.NET Core
  • .NET and .NET Framework
  • Entity Framework
  • SQL Server
  • T-SQL
  • Stored procedures
  • Git
  • Harness
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Unit testing
  • Application-security scanning and remediation
