About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
IT Auditor to plan, execute, and support audits across Information Technology and Information Security functions. This role plays a key part in evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and strengthening the organization's security and compliance posture.
You'll work closely with business and technology teams, lead portions of audit engagements, and help drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll DoAudit Planning & Execution- Plan and conduct IT and IS audits based on risk assessments.
- Develop audit scopes, control matrices, and detailed audit procedures.
- Conduct fieldwork following internal audit standards and industry best practices.
- Prepare thorough, well-documented workpapers and ensure procedures meet established requirements.
- Identify internal control gaps and recommend process improvements.
- Communicate audit findings clearly and professionally to stakeholders.
Reporting & Post-Audit Activities- Resolve open items and finalize audit documentation.
- Prepare audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Participate in closing meetings and follow-up reviews to ensure remediation progress.
Regulatory & Compliance Support- Support reviews related to applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Assist in evaluating compliance with technology-related regulatory requirements.
Additional Responsibilities- Contribute to process improvements within the internal audit function.
- Mentor junior staff and support team development.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
QualificationsEducation & Certifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- CISA, CISSP, CIA, or similar.
Experience- 3-5+ years of internal or external IT audit experience.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks and audit methodologies.
- Experience with IT, cybersecurity, or financial services environments is a plus.
Technical Skills- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit-related software tools.
- Ability to learn and navigate enterprise systems, financial applications, and audit tools.
- Understanding of IT controls, security principles, and risk management.
Soft Skills & Additional Requirements- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication - both written and verbal.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- A collaborative team player with leadership potential.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Must hold a valid driver's license if required for occasional on-site reviews.
Work Environment- Hybrid schedule (3 days on-site / 2 days remote).
- Occasional flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on audit needs.
