The Opportunity:
  • Lead systems engineering for an Agile program delivering GEOINT capabilities to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
  • Work on-site at a Government facility as a trusted engineering partner to mission system owners.
  • Own engineering rigor across exceptionally complex systems spanning software, data, and infrastructure.
  • Shape how mission needs become verified, delivered capability.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability from mission needs to delivered capability.
  • Define and manage system interfaces, interface control documentation, and cross-system dependencies.
  • Develop and maintain system design documentation, engineering artifacts, and technical baselines.
  • Lead verification and validation planning and support test execution across releases.
  • Perform engineering trade studies and risk assessments; recommend courses of action.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with Government engineers, delivery teams, and external programs.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior systems engineers and enforce engineering standards.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with ability to obtain Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
  • 8+ years of systems engineering experience on complex software-intensive systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements management, interface definition, and V&V.
  • Experience supporting Government programs through engineering reviews and technical baselines.
  • Strong technical writing and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site at a Government facility.

Desired:
  • Experience using geospatial software such as Esri ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Enterprise and related APIs.
  • Experience with GEOINT systems or geospatial capabilities.
  • Experience in Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100-$172,400
