Data Center Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Data Center Operator on a contract basis in Pittsburgh, PA.

Summary:
The Data Center Operator will be tasked with communicating shift operations and issues, providing team members with customer service and service assistance as needed, and will also be responsible for conducting research to identify ways of improving on current processes/procedures. The Data Center Operator will be required to monitor the Data Center facility equipment and environment and manage enterprise batch job processing.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree in is preferred, but not required
* 2+ years of datacenter operations experience using iSeries, Linux, Windows and server hardware and operating systems
* Must have knowledge of datacenter operations processes and software (batch, monitoring, file transfer and backups)
* Must be able to work a rotating shift and overtime
* Must know Google Workspace
* Must have strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, skills
* Must be able to demonstrate collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication are required
* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
