Summary

Razor is looking for a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst (RMF) to support a long term, remote federal government contract on the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities to ensure assigned information systems, devices, and networks obtain and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO). This role plans and coordinates security assessments, identifies vulnerabilities and risks, supports eMASS packages, and provides recurring status updates in alignment with VA risk management processes.

Education & Certification Requirements:
High school diploma or GED

Clearance Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance
Multiple background checks
Fingerprinting

Responsibilities:
  • Track A&A efforts to support Authorization to Operate (ATO) and related decisions
  • Plan and coordinate security assessments of information systems and networks
  • Identify vulnerabilities, risks, and security requirements in accordance with VA A&A processes
  • Support development and maintenance of eMASS packages
  • Provide weekly status updates to stakeholders
  • Participate in team-based assessment and multi-discipline triage activities

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) controls analysis, testing, and risk assessments
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools to identify and document compliance
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage multi-discipline triage calls
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Experience documenting and clearly communicating workarounds and solutions

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, CNSSI 1254, and VA Risk Management policies
  • Understanding of defense-in-depth and information assurance principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and customers
  • Experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle in an agile, team-oriented environment
  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, GitHub, and Jira
