Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner with strong ERP Finance functional experience to lead the Finance data, integration, and reporting backlog for a major ERP modernization and Finance transformation program. The role will work closely with Finance stakeholders, ERP functional teams, and Azure data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, prioritize, and manage the Finance backlog for data, integrations, and reporting.

• Translate Finance requirements into epics, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Build and maintain a roadmap aligned with close cycles, cutover milestones, and downstream dependencies.

• Provide functional expertise across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, financial close, intercompany, reconciliations, controls, and reporting.

• Support Finance data mapping and transformation across ERP and enterprise data platforms.

• Define data-quality rules, reconciliation requirements, controls, and reporting validation criteria.

• Partner with data engineers on finance data products, mappings, transformations, and defects.

• Lead UAT, finance data validation, reconciliation, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.

• Drive Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and demos.

• Collaborate with Finance, ERP, Data Engineering, and senior business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of ERP Finance / Finance Systems / Finance Data / Functional Consulting / Product Ownership experience.

• Strong experience with PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics Finance.

• Strong knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, financial close, reconciliations, controls, and financial reporting.

• ERP implementation, modernization, migration, or Finance transformation experience.

• User stories, acceptance criteria, requirements gathering, process/data documentation, and UAT.

• Agile delivery with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work hybrid from Cary, NC.

Preferred Skills

• Insurance or financial services experience.

• PeopleSoft Financials and/or Workday Financial Management.

• Finance data migration, integration, data warehousing, or certified data products.

• Azure, Databricks, ADF, ADLS Gen 2, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or Snowflake.

• FP&A, budgeting, planning, consolidation, procurement, or enterprise reporting.

• CSPO, PSPO, CPA, CMA, or related certification.
