Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The role involves working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to define cloud architecture, ensure best practices, and drive cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on Google Cloud Platform
• Define cloud architecture, standards, and best practices
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives (on-prem to Google Cloud Platform)
• Architect solutions using Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, etc.)
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization
• Implement security best practices including IAM, encryption, and compliance
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architecture guidance
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs and resource utilization

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services
• Expertise in cloud architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Compute Engine, Kubernetes (GKE), and serverless services
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, load balancing, DNS, VPN)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager)
• Understanding of security best practices (IAM, identity federation, encryption)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, or Go)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Knowledge of data engineering tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
• Familiarity with containerization and microservices architecture
• Experience with monitoring tools (Stackdriver / Cloud Monitoring)
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, etc.)

Certifications (Good to Have)

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
