Business Analyst

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze complex business needs and translate them into clear system improvement initiatives or new feature requirements; effectively communicate implementation details to the development team.
• Generate ad hoc reports to meet business data needs and support production issue troubleshooting.
• Evaluate system issues and distinguish among training or usage gaps, functional defects, and enhancement requests.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for critical production defect fixes and system enhancements, including identifying test scenarios, developing test cases, tracking and documenting resolution status in JIRA, and collaborating closely with developers and technical business analysts.
• Provide guidance to business users on system functionality and training-related matters to ensure a smooth and positive user experience.
• Coordinate assignments with the Project Manager, development team, and consulting staff to establish timelines and meet deliverables within fast-paced Agile sprint cycles.

Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
• Strong experience with databases and data analysis tools, including Microsoft SQL, Access, and Excel; experience with Informix preferred; knowledge of Attachmate Reflection is a plus.
• Advanced SQL query skills and a solid understanding of relational database principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including requirements validation and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting the redesign or enhancement of Case Management and Case Tracking Systems.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
