A commercial and industrial construction company in Shreveport is hiring a
Glazier Helper / Commercial Glass Installer Helper for its glazing division. This is a hands-on construction position assisting experienced glaziers with the installation of commercial glass, storefronts, doors, frames, and related systems.
This is a good opportunity for someone with construction experience who wants to learn a specialized skilled trade.
Responsibilities- Assist experienced glaziers with commercial glass installation
- Carry and position glass, aluminum framing, doors, and other materials
- Assist with measuring, layout, and preparation for installations
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Help install storefront systems, frames, doors, and glazing materials
- Prepare sealants, gaskets, hardware, and materials for installation
- Load and unload tools and materials
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Work from ladders and elevated areas as needed
- Follow jobsite safety procedures and direction from field leadership
Requirements- Construction, glass, carpentry, or similar hands-on experience preferred
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to lift and carry construction materials throughout the workday
- Dependable attendance and willingness to learn
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a crew
- Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation preferred
Previous glazing experience is helpful but not required. Candidates with a strong construction background and an interest in learning the commercial glazing trade are encouraged to apply.
