Job Description
  • The Enterprise Asset Management Department of NYCT Department of Subways is seeking an experienced HxGN EAM Support Consultant to support the rollout and implementation of Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management across subway operations.
  • The consultant will be responsible for supporting project planning, requirements gathering, business process review, documentation, stakeholder coordination, system configuration support, risk tracking, and training-related deliverables. The ideal candidate should have strong experience implementing Hexagon EAM or similar enterprise asset management systems, preferably within the railroad, transit, transportation, or public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the rollout and implementation of HxGN EAM for the Department of Subways.
  • Understand stakeholder needs and facilitate requirements gathering sessions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings for business process review.
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate project schedules.
  • Work closely with Subways subject matter experts to complete required project documentation.
  • Prepare scope documents, project schedules, functional requirements, As-Is and To-Be process flows, status reports, and summary reports.
  • Document, track, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues as needed.
  • Support technical design, configuration, and system specification documentation.
  • Assist with system configuration, administration, and implementation activities.
  • Support training material development and training delivery as required.
  • Independently manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams and work groups as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience leading large-scale Enterprise Asset Management projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Hexagon EAM / HxGN EAM implementation.
  • Experience with project management documentation, schedules, status reports, and requirements documentation.
  • Strong understanding of business process review, requirements gathering, and workflow documentation.
  • Ability to create As-Is and To-Be process flows.
  • Intermediate to advanced project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in the railroad, transit, transportation, or public sector industry.
  • Experience working with subway, rail, infrastructure, or asset-intensive operations.
  • Experience supporting EAM system configuration and administration.
  • Experience developing training documentation and supporting end-user training.
  • PMP, CAPM, or related project management certification is a plus.

Risk / Work Environment

  • Desk work only.
  • No work will be performed within 50 feet of track right-of-way.
  • No work will involve areas with environmental risks such as lead or asbestos.
