Cloud Architect

Role Overview

• The Cloud Solutions Architect will perform advanced, senior-level technology architecture work supporting Data Center Operations initiatives and organization-wide technology needs.
• The position is responsible for translating business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable cloud architectures, selecting appropriate cloud services, and guiding solutions through testing, deployment, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.

The role requires minimal direction, independent judgment, ownership of deliverable quality, and the ability to lead complex technical initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategy, Architecture & Technical Leadership
• Lead strategic Data Center Operations service-delivery efforts for project delivery and steady-state operations.
• Develop architectural blueprints, network topologies, technical specifications, and solution options aligned with business requirements.
• Lead cloud engineering initiatives and guide workgroups addressing specific business and technology needs.
• Assess current and desired technical states, identify gaps, and develop practical approaches to close them.
• Establish and lead technical best practices, standards, and procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Technical Delivery & Modernization

• Plan, assess, and support transitions from on-premises environments to public, private, or hybrid cloud platforms.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and integration pipelines to improve deployment consistency, automation, and scalability.
• Design, develop, and administer scalable cloud-based systems with integration and reporting capabilities.
• Support solution implementation, system testing, installation, code/standards revisions, and problem resolution.
• Support Kubernetes clusters, serverless infrastructure, and cloud infrastructure service/integration APIs.
• Drive cloud modernization and automation initiatives from architecture through implementation and operational readiness.

1. Security, Operations & Compliance

• Ensure solution designs address applicable data security requirements, identity and access controls, HIPAA, and organizational best practices.
• Support cloud monitoring, auditing, logging, alerting, and operational tooling.
• Promote secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures.
• Support operational readiness and continuous improvement of cloud environments.

Location Requirement

• Candidate must be local to the Austin area.
• Candidate must reside within a 50-mile radius of the primary work location.

On-Site Requirement

• Candidate must work on-site every Thursday and Friday.
• Current work model:
• 3 days remote
• 2 days on-site
• The work arrangement may change based on future client policy.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum Experience: 7+ Years Each
• The candidate must demonstrate 7+ years of experience in the following areas:

Industry / Domain Experience

• Prior healthcare or public-sector experience is not stated as a mandatory qualification.
