About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Big Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable data processing solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex data architecture and real-time streaming, leveraging a robust tech stack to drive enterprise-grade data engineering initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Data Architecture: Design and implement scalable big data pipelines and distributed systems.
Hands-on Development: Perform end-to-end software development using Java to build high-performance data applications.
Streaming & Integration: Build and manage real-time data streaming solutions utilizing Kafka.
Cloud Engineering: Leverage cloud-native services within AWS and Google Cloud Platform ecosystems to host and optimize data processing environments.
System Optimization: Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, conduct code reviews, and ensure data integrity across large-scale distributed databases.
What You Need to Succeed:
Technical Experience: Strong professional experience in Big Data engineering and Java application development.
Core Tech Stack: Expert-level knowledge of Java and Kafka for building robust, real-time data integrations.
Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience working within both AWS and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) cloud environments.
Data Systems: Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, along with big data processing frameworks.
Problem Solving: Ability to translate complex business requirements into high-performance technical data solutions.
Communication: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for data workflows.
Experience in designing and maintaining data lakes and warehouses.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.
