Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes administration, platform engineering, and enterprise container operations.

• Expertise in AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-premises Kubernetes environments.

• Experience with Helm charts, Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, service discovery, RBAC, network policies, and security policies.

• Knowledge of HPA/VPA autoscaling, multi-cluster management, cluster upgrades, maintenance, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.

• Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Experience designing and governing CI/CD pipelines, release automation, SAST/DAST, container security scanning, and container registries such as ECR and ACR.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Datadog and Splunk.

• Strong AWS knowledge, including EKS, ECR, IAM, and EC2; Azure knowledge, including AKS and ACR.

• Experience with HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, certificate management, and Kubernetes security hardening.

• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST APIs, GraphQL, and Maven to support cloud-native application teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes platforms across on-premises, AWS EKS, and Azure AKS environments.

• Own the Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, scaling, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Build and maintain enterprise-grade GitLab CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Terraform and IaC.

• Implement containerization standards and deployment strategies, including Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling Deployments.

• Drive platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.

• Lead production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and platform optimization initiatives.

• Implement Kubernetes security controls, RBAC, network policies, secrets management, and certificate management.

• Support deployment and operations of Java Spring Boot microservices and GraphQL services.

• Mentor engineering teams and promote Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.

• ArgoCD and GitOps practices.

• Istio Service Mesh.

• SonarQube, Fossa, and Wiz CLI security scans.

• Nexus and Artifactory.

• Cassandra and Elasticsearch.

• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Platform Engineering.

• CKA or CKAD certifications.
