Overview
System One is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer who will oversee the collection, storage, and interpretation of cyber security data to enhance the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program. Their duties will include sifting through data points to create organized categories, formatting data into other cyber security tools, comparing data points to current company processes, and writing reports outlining business predictions or proposals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the collection, storage, and interpretation of cyber security data to support the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program.
- Monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
- Assist with integrated, dynamic cyber defense, coordinating security toolsets to support continuous monitoring and authorization programs.
- Establish frameworks for measuring and quantifying cyber risk in the marketplace.
- Evaluate business strategies, research security standards, conduct security and vulnerability analyses, and prepare risk assessments.
- Implement security systems, specify intrusion detection methodologies, and support software installation and calibration.
- Develop and execute test scripts to verify security systems.
- Maintain security compliance, conduct incident response analyses, and develop training programs.
- Design, develop, implement, and integrate DoD IA architectures, systems, or components for various environments.
- Ensure architecture and systems are functional and secure, including design for program of record systems and special processing nodes.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, Master’s degree with 3 years, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience with tagging data
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience working with data source sensor tools
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience building data pipelines and establishing data connections
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience creating data pipelines for transfer via Splunk
- Minimum 4-6 years of developing integrations between Splunk, DbConnect, and Xacta
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience aggregating various data types and creating key-value pairs
- Minimum 3 years of experience with ETL coding using Python
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing interface controls and storing interface data
- Minimum 3 years of experience producing process and procedural documentation
- Minimum 3 years of experience obtaining an Authority To Operate (ATO)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
