Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SDET with strong Python programming skills and hands-on expertise in API automation, performance testing, and test framework development. The ideal candidate will have experience validating REST APIs, building reusable automation frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and testing distributed systems and Kafka consumers.

Required Skills:

  • 6 8 years of experience in SDET, test automation, or quality engineering.

  • Strong Python programming skills, including experience with FastAPI.

  • Hands-on experience with Pytest, unit testing, mocking, and reusable automation frameworks.

  • Strong REST API automation and testing experience.

  • Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger and JSON Schema validation.

  • Hands-on experience with k6 and JavaScript for API functional and load testing.

  • Experience with test-data parameterization, dynamic data generation, and API response correlation.

  • Experience designing positive/negative scenarios, boundary cases, end-to-end API journeys, contract tests, and compatibility tests.

  • CI/CD pipeline integration and Git-based test-asset versioning.

  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

  • Experience with smoke, regression, and synthetic test suites.

  • Knowledge of performance, load, stress, and endurance testing.

  • Experience validating deployments during canary rollouts and analyzing test execution metrics and bottlenecks.

  • Kafka integration testing, particularly Kafka consumer validation.

  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
