Senior Microsoft Teams Voice / Unified Communications Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Microsoft Teams Voice / Unified Communications Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise voice environment, with a primary focus on Microsoft Teams Calling. This individual will help drive the migration from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Phone while supporting existing voice, trader voice, carrier, and audio/visual technologies.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on Microsoft Teams Phone experience, solid knowledge of traditional Cisco voice environments, and the communication skills to work directly with business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft Teams Phone / Teams Calling, including:
• Call delegation
• Call Queues and Auto Attendants
• SIP connectivity and integration
• Physical phone/device integration, including Poly and Yealink
• Support and help drive migration activities from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Calling
• Troubleshoot voice routing, calling, endpoint, and interoperability issues across Microsoft Teams and legacy telephony platforms
• Support IPC Unigy/Unity trader voice environments
• Support Cisco CUCM and associated voice infrastructure during migration and transition
• Integrate Cisco and Poly audio/visual solutions with enterprise calling capabilities
• Coordinate with Verizon on carrier-related provisioning, troubleshooting, circuits, and escalations
• Work directly with business users to troubleshoot issues, communicate changes, and provide guidance or training as needed
• Assist with documentation, knowledge transfer, and user adoption during the Teams Calling transition

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Phone / Teams Calling
• Experience configuring Call Queues, Auto Attendants, call delegation, and SIP connectivity
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting Poly and/or Yealink Teams-certified devices
• Hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM
• Demonstrated experience migrating enterprise voice environments from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Phone
• Strong understanding of enterprise voice, SIP, PSTN connectivity, call routing, and telephony troubleshooting
• Experience supporting business users in an enterprise environment
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Preferred Experience

• IPC Unigy/Unity / Trader Voice experience, particularly within financial services or trading environments
• Cisco/Poly AV integration experience
• Verizon or other telecom carrier management experience
• Experience providing end-user training or developing user documentation

Location / Schedule

• New York City, NY
• Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week onsite at 330 Madison Avenue
• Must be comfortable working directly with business users in an onsite environment
