Leidos is seeking a
Scrum Master based in
Gaithersburg, MD; Eagan, MN; or Egg Harbor, NJ to support the
UK National Airspace System Replacement Product Delivery Team (UK NASR PDT) to support a mission focused program delivering advanced software and technology solutions for government customers.
This role supports agile development teams operating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment and focuses on enabling high performing teams to deliver high quality solutions rapidly and efficiently.
The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and guiding teams toward higher levels of agile maturity. The role works closely with Product Owners, engineers, program leadership, and other Scrum Masters to ensure alignment across teams and successful execution of program objectives.
This program offers the opportunity to work on
real-time, safety-critical systems that directly support national air traffic operations for the United Kingdom. You will help modernize a high-availability air traffic management platform using both traditional systems engineering practices and AI-augmented software development techniques.
This is a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.What You'll Do- Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Coordinate Program Increment (PI) planning activities and support cross team collaboration within a SAFe Agile Release Train
- Remove impediments and help teams resolve issues that impact delivery timelines or quality
- Guide teams in applying Agile and Lean principles to improve efficiency, transparency, and delivery outcomes
- Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on agile practices and mindset adoption
- Track team progress using agile metrics and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and program leadership through Scrum of Scrums and related forums
- Support backlog management and ensure user stories are properly refined and ready for development
- Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives, communities of practice, and agile maturity assessments
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages ownership, accountability, and innovation
Core Required Technical Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience in software development or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- 2+ years relevant experience supporting Agile software development programs
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator within a software development environment
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance or program equivalent

Preferred Qualifications- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification
- Experience supporting government programs
- Experience working in SAFe environments or Agile Release Trains

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
