The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Systems Engineer - Product Owner to join the Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team in Hazelwood, MO. This role will support in the GVHMS portfolio within the Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization.

This team develops and fields aircraft health management systems across multiple platforms including F/A-18, E/A-18, F-15, T7, MQ-25, and proprietary programs by acquiring and managing aircraft health and usage data, performing assessments, updating configurations, and recommending maintenance actions. The team is looking for a highly motivated systems engineer to develop requirements, perform integration activities, manage project schedule & budget, and take on the role of a Product Owner (PO) within the GVHMS portfolio.

This role requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders to ensure software products are developed in alignment with supporting customer, business and program needs. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical system engineering skills as well as project management skills. Good oral and written communication is essential to succeed in this position. This role will work closely with the software development team, hardware team, test team, other System Engineers, and leadership. This position may also require occasional domestic and international travel to ensure successful implementation at customer sites.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions

  • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces

  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture

  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor s Degree

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design)

  • 3+ years of experience working systems engineering across multiple phases of the product life-cycle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Secret Security clearance is a plus

  • 3+ years of experience building stakeholder and customer relationships

  • 3+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • EVM trained / CAM Certified

  • Agile development experience

  • Experience with military aircraft and Proprietary programs

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $112,200 - $151,800

Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $136,850 - $185,150

Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
