  • Integrate motors, drivetrains, batteries, electronics, and sensors into product designs.
  • Develop control strategies and troubleshoot control systems, including PLC programs and HMI interfaces where applicable.
  • Develop engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, BOMs, and test plans.
  • Conduct product testing, analyze results, and implement design improvements.
  • Support design reviews, risk assessments (such as DFMEA), and product validation activities.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to specify, procure, and qualify components and vendor-supplied equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable global safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with third-party test labs for product certifications.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in product development, design engineering, or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience designing or integrating motors, drivetrains, sensors, or power systems.
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Approximately 10% domestic and international travel required, with a valid driver's license with no restrictions.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing, laboratory, and industrial environments, and to lift within nationally approved EHS limits.

WHAT SETS YOU APART
  • Experience with power tools, portable equipment, robotics, automated machinery, or manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panel design, PLC programming, HMI systems, and automation troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of global machinery and product safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with DFMEA, GD&T, or PDM/PLM systems.
