Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated 26FT box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This position requires strong driving skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed.

 

Duties

 

Operate a 26 FT Box Truck.

Maintain your truck up to DOT requirements.

Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.

Installation of Appliances and assembling of furniture. (Tools provided) Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients during deliveries.

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.

Assist with moving items as needed, including heavy lifting when required.

Skills

 

1 year of commercial driving experience.

Must be able to use the phone app.

Familiarity with box trucks and DOT requirements.

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Dollies and Tailgate provided Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.

A valid driver’s CDL license with a clean driving record is essential.

Background and Drug test will be done.

Monday to Saturday (6 days a week)

Full time  (paid bi-weekly)

Teams welcome (Driver plus helper)

 

 

Expenses & Ownership (1099 Structure)

• Who will be responsible for:

o Fuel - company pays, driver maintains

o Truck - company pays, drivers maintains

o Maintenance - company pays, driver maintains

o Insurance - company pays, driver maintains

• Any deductions that candidates should be aware of
NA - damages if incurred at driver/helpers fault

Job Scope & Workload

• Average number of trips per day -1

• Delivery type: residential, commercial, or both - both

• % of work involving installation (appliances/furniture) - 50-70% depends on delivery load. More installations = less number of stops/kms

• Typical working hours / shift timing - start time 5-7am (finish depending on load) 8-12 hours

Team Structure (Driver + Helper)

• Is a helper mandatory or optional? Mandatory - provided by company, maintained by driver

• Who pays for the helper? - company

• Is the pay structured per truck or per individual? per truck / per driver

Location & Routes

• Base location/warehouse in Dallas - Not specified yet, but Dallas, same starting point daily

• Delivery radius (local vs extended routes) - 80-250kms 

• Fixed routes or dynamic assignments - dynamic initially, fixed after 6 months
