We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Production Support Engineer to support critical Equity Trading Platform applications and Fidessa flows within a capital markets environment.

Important Requirements

• Must have 10+ years of overall experience.

• Must have a strong, established LinkedIn profile.

• Must be a local Jersey City / nearby NJ-NY candidate who can attend an in-person interview without fail.

• Must be available for a fast-moving interview process.

• Must be comfortable with hybrid work and evening/weekend on-call support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for equity trading systems, Fidessa flows, OMS/EMS platforms, FIX connectivity, order routing, DMA, and algorithmic trading.

• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, network, and trading workflow issues.

• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash/Shell, Perl, SQL, or PowerShell.

• Monitor application performance and system health using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or ELK.

• Perform incident management, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and permanent issue remediation.

• Support Linux/Unix, Windows Server, databases, messaging platforms, and network connectivity.

• Assist with CI/CD pipelines, production releases, deployment automation, and operational readiness.

• Collaborate with traders, business users, development, QA, infrastructure, and global support teams.

• Participate in evening/weekend production checkouts and on-call rotations.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in production support / SRE within Equities, Capital Markets, or Financial Services.

• Hands-on experience with Fidessa, FIX Protocol (4.2/4.4/5.0), OMS/EMS, and order routing.

• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and front-office trading workflows.

• Expertise in Linux/Unix, Windows, scripting, SQL, networking, and production troubleshooting.

• Experience with monitoring tools, messaging platforms, and CI/CD or DevOps tools.

• Excellent communication, incident management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
