Job Description:
Sr. Hybrid Hosting Manager

Location: Wayne, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)

Role Overview

An experienced senior leader is sought to oversee the Hybrid Hosting Engineering team. This role is responsible for the on-premise Nutanix virtualization footprint and the rehosted environment built on AWS. This position requires leadership of people, ownership of a product/platform, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve divisional goals. The focus will be on optimization, modernization, and scaling leadership in an established, not greenfield, environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, evaluate, and supervise a team of senior engineers, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Own the hybrid hosting strategy for on-premise and cloud coexistence, including the platform roadmap, architecture, and modernization efforts.
  • Drive improvements in automation maturity, operational efficiency, and engineering practices to scale operations.
  • Ensure architecture and patterns support high availability, fault isolation, regional failover design, and disaster recovery validation.
  • Manage the resolution of complex technical issues, identifying patterns and incorporating learnings into the platform roadmap.
  • Operate in a matrixed environment, influencing peer leaders and stakeholders to ensure visibility and alignment across the organization.
  • Serve as an advisor to internal clients on platform usage and capabilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including product evaluation, selection, and compliance management.
  • Ensure compliance with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Education: An undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience: A minimum of ten years of related work experience. Must have experience managing senior technical engineers and enterprise vendors, not suitable for first-time managers. Experience delivering services that support IT development organizations is required. Experience in large enterprise environments is necessary.

Technical Skills: A strong general IT background is required, including Linux, cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure), and virtualization (Nutanix/VMware). A working knowledge of data center and cloud concepts such as networking, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), storage, and compute services is essential.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A graduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience in Cloud and Data Center hosting or service provider environments.
  • Experience operating in a regulated industry, such as financial services, and meeting compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing distributed teams and owning platforms, not just teams.

Work Environment

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring a presence on-site three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Travel is minimal.
