Job Description: We're seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based analytics pipelines and dashboards. You'll work with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI to support data-driven decision-making. The role includes ingesting data from CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), shaping data models, and ensuring performant, scalable analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities (highlights):
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and related services.
- Build and manage data ingestion from Salesforce (API integrations, schema alignment, performance tuning).
- Develop data models, transformations, and semantic layers to power Power BI reporting.
- Optimize queries, pipelines, and storage for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, API issues, and Power BI dataset/dataflow refresh problems.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Power BI dashboards: hands-on design, development, and testing
- Power BI datasets, dataflows, DirectQuery/Import models
- Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Delta Lake
- SQL mastery: advanced querying, ETL/ELT, performance tuning
- Python or Scala for data processing
- PL/SQL development experience
- Data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), warehousing concepts
- API integrations and data ingestion from CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Azure cloud services monitoring and governance
