AWS Cloud Lead

Position  : AWS Cloud Lead

Location : Waukegan, IL (Onsite)

Contract : 06+ months

Role Overview

Lead the Cloud Operations and delivery of scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions on AWS. Work closely with engineering, Enterprise Architects, business, and operations teams to define cloud architecture, drive modernization, and ensure best‑in‑class cloud practices, including but not limited to- Operations excellence, CIS benchmarks, Cloud Guardrails, security, Automations, and good understanding for future Automation/ AgenticAI, GenAI.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, secure AWS solutions (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, Control Tower,).
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure design.
• Ensure cloud security, IAM governance, compliance, and cost optimization (FinOps).
• Drive DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation.
• Set up monitoring & observability (CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK).
• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide architectural guidance.
• Join and support the P1/P2 MIM bridge and lead end to end.
• Work on RCA, vendor cases to build RCA.

Required Skills

• Strong hands‑on AWS expertise across compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Deep experience with Terraform/CloudFormation, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, containers and AWS CLI
• Strong understanding of VPC architecture, networking, and security best practices.
• Expertise with CI/CD, Git, automation, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent in Monthly, Weekly status, pattern, reports to business.

Preferred

• AWS Professional certification.
• Knowledge of multi‑cloud (Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with AWS EKS, AWS CLI, Cloud Formation & Automations use cases
• MLOps, GenAI, Agentic AI (nice to have).
