We are seeking a highly technical and hands-on leader to architect, modernize, and scale our enterprise intranet platform from approximately
1,100 users to more than 40,000 users. This role will be responsible for driving the next generation of the digital workplace by leveraging
Akumina, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and Agentic AI technologies to deliver an intelligent, scalable, secure, and personalized employee experience.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect and engineer with deep expertise in
Akumina and SharePoint, capable of building enterprise-grade solutions while leading technical teams and establishing long-term platform strategy.
Platform Architecture and Scalability- Design and implement a highly scalable intranet platform supporting growth from 1,100 to 40,000+ users.
- Design and implement modern digital workplace capabilities using Akumina and SharePoint Online.
- Build for high availability, resiliency, security, and performance.
- Establish architectural standards and engineering best practices.
- Lead modernization initiatives across web, search, content management, and digital workplace capabilities.
Agentic AI and Intelligent Experiences- Design and implement AI-driven experiences using modern agentic frameworks.
- Integrate enterprise AI capabilities with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, and third-party agents.
- Develop intelligent agents for:
o Employee self-service
- Knowledge retrieval
- Workflow automation
- Personalized content delivery
- Enterprise search and RAG architectures
- Enable interoperability between low-code/no-code environments and enterprise AI frameworks.
Cloud and Data Integration- Architect integrations between Microsoft 365, Azure, Snowflake, APIs, and enterprise applications.
- Develop scalable API and event-driven architectures.
- Implement vector databases, semantic search, and retrieval-augmented generation solutions.
- Establish observability, monitoring, and performance metrics.
Technical Leadership- Remain deeply hands-on while providing technical leadership to engineering teams.
- Perform architecture reviews and code reviews.
- Mentor developers and establish engineering standards.
- Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams.
Performance and Reliability: - Ensure platform scalability, response times, and user experience across 40,000+ users.
- Define SLAs, KPIs, and platform health metrics.
- Establish disaster recovery and resiliency strategies.
Required Qualifications- 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated success scaling applications supporting tens of thousands of users.
- Experience designing highly available cloud-native solutions.
- Prior healthcare experience desired
