Sr. Project Manager with Investment Banking Domain-Full time-Hybrid-

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead medium to large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within the Financial Services and Custody operations domain. The ideal candidate will be business-oriented with strong stakeholder management capabilities and deep experience delivering highly visible regulatory and operational transformation programs using Waterfall methodology.

This role requires close collaboration with executive sponsors, portfolio managers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to ensure successful project execution across the full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle including initiation, planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and closure.

• Develop detailed project charters, roadmaps, schedules, and governance frameworks.

• Manage scope, timeline, cost, quality, and resource allocation effectively.

• Ensure strong adherence to Waterfall project management methodology and governance standards.

• Drive issue identification, risk mitigation, and escalation management.

• Oversee UAT, regression testing, and business validation processes.

• Prepare executive dashboards, status reports, and portfolio-level updates.

• Conduct lessons learned and continuous improvement reviews.

• Align project objectives with business strategy and sponsor priorities.

• Prevent scope creep and manage evolving business requirements with structured change control.

• Partner with custody/fund services stakeholders and capital markets teams.

• Provide strong communication across executive leadership and operational teams.

• Support updates to client-facing materials, compliance documentation, and regulatory reporting.

• Lead cross-functional teams including SMEs, Business Analysts, Operations, and IT contributors.

• Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance input to analysts and junior PMs.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management experience.

• Strong experience within Financial Services, particularly Custody / Fund Services institutions.

• Solid understanding of Capital Markets concepts and regulatory environments.

• Proven expertise in Waterfall methodology (Agile exposure is a plus).

• Experience managing highly visible, business-driven transformation initiatives.

• Strong command of PM craft including:

  • Scope & change management

  • Budget & ROI analysis

  • Risk & issue governance

  • Executive reporting

• Experience with PPM tools (Clarity or equivalent portfolio management systems).

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Business-oriented mindset rather than purely IT-focused.
