Data Center Cable Technician (Entry Level - Structured Cabling)Location: Social Circle, GA

What You'll Be DoingAs a Data Center Cable Technician, you will assist with the installation and maintenance of critical infrastructure inside and outside of data center facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Pulling, routing, and terminating Cat5/Cat6 structured cabling
- Assisting with rack and stack installations (servers, switches, patch panels)
- Installing and building out telecommunications closets
- Mounting backboards, racks, and hardware
- Installing cross-connects and patch panels
- Performing cable terminations (110/66 blocks, patch panels, jacks)
- Supporting fiber optic cable installation and basic troubleshooting
- Installing cable tray, wireway, conduit, and buss duct
- Installing and grounding equipment, racks, and cabling systems
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and project documentation
- Assisting with installation of switches, receptacles, and related infrastructure
- Working both indoors and outdoors depending on project needs
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Skills & Experience- Basic experience or exposure to:
- Structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6)
- Cable installation and termination
- Rack and stack environments
- Familiarity with:
- Punch-down tools
- Cable installation tools and equipment
- Understanding of universal communications color codes
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Comfortable using hand and power tools (e.g., cable cutters, drill, compression tools)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)- Experience working in:
- Data centers
- Construction or low-voltage environments
- Knowledge of fiber optics
- Conduit installation experience
- OSHA certifications or safety training
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Use of both hands to operate tools and equipment
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
- Comfortable working in active construction or industrial environments
