Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with a strong AI/Cloud focus to support State Street's Audit Technology / GTS Audit Transformation program.
The ideal candidate will be a Senior Java Developer with a strong backend focus, complemented by hands-on ReactJS, AWS cloud development, API integrations, database development, and Generative AI experience.
This is a highly technical, AI-focused development role supporting key transformation initiatives with specific go-live timelines in January and March.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Focus primarily on backend development, integrations, and microservices.
- Design and develop REST APIs and complex system integrations.
- Develop user-facing applications using ReactJS.
- Build and integrate AI-powered solutions using AWS cloud services.
- Work with AWS Bedrock and AgentCore to develop and integrate AI/Generative AI capabilities.
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based application components.
- Perform database scripting, database modeling, and database setup/configuration.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business teams to deliver solutions for the Audit Transformation program.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications and integrations.
- Follow software development best practices for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
Required Skills
Backend Development
- Strong hands-on experience with Java.
- Strong Spring Boot / Spring Framework experience.
- Experience developing microservices and enterprise applications.
- Strong experience with system integrations.
- Strong REST API development experience.
Front-End Development
- Hands-on experience with ReactJS.
- Ability to develop and integrate frontend applications with backend services.
- JavaScript/TypeScript experience is preferred.
AWS / AI
- Strong experience with AWS cloud development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock.
- Experience with AWS AgentCore.
- Experience building or integrating Generative AI / AI-powered applications.
- Experience with AI/LLM-based solutions is highly preferred.
Database
- Strong SQL / database scripting skills.
- Experience with database design and data modeling.
- Experience with database setup, configuration, and integration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on AI transformation or modernization programs.
- Experience with enterprise audit, financial services, banking, or GTS technology environments.
- Experience with cloud-native application development.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be approximately:
75% Backend / Java / Integrations 25 35% ReactJS / Front End
with strong AWS + Generative AI capabilities, particularly AWS Bedrock and AgentCore.
