Retail IT Business Systems Analyst - Troy, Michigan | Remote / Hybrid

Introduction: The Retail IT Business Systems Analyst will be the dedicated partner to a multi-brand store network being brought onto one common retail platform spanning store operations, CRM, and finance integration. They will be responsible for deploying business systems by business and store by store, working closely with retail brands to elicit, validate, and sign off on requirements before implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the single point of contact between Retail and IT, facilitating demand from the area into IT delivery and representing the area inside IT.
• Elicit business requirements through workshops, interviews, and direct process observation, and capture them in the requirements toolset with traceability.
• Map current-state business processes and define future-state processes with the business ahead of any build.
• Manage requirements through their life cycle, including prioritisation, change control, and formal business sign-off.
• Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria, and plan and support user acceptance testing.
• Own business readiness for new systems, including training coordination, adoption support, and post-go-live evaluation.
• Help shape and prioritize demand for IT projects within the area.
• Support store-by-store readiness through data validation, training, and adoption.
• Maintain coherence in requirements across store operations, CRM, and finance integration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience on enterprise system implementations or major process-change programs.
• Demonstrated elicitation and documentation skills, including requirements workshops, interviews, and process observation.
• Experience with process mapping and requirements management in a tracked toolset.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing with business testers.
• Working knowledge of at least one core system in the retail area.
• Experience supporting retail or multi-unit store operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IIBA certification (CCBA or CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
• BRM Institute training or certification (BRMP) for the business-partner dimension of the role.
• Hands-on experience with retail operating platforms and CRM.
• Experience in a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, or retail company.
