Bilingual Operations Specialist - Mutual Fund Operations
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON
Work Model: Hybrid - 4 days onsite per week
About the Opportunity
We are hiring a Bilingual Operations Specialist to join a high-performing team within Mutual Fund Operations. This team plays a critical role in supporting back-office processing activities, ensuring trades and transactions are completed accurately and efficiently for retail partners and third-party vendors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data entry and processing experience, a sharp eye for detail, and a foundation in banking or financial products. While this role is not customer-facing, the team operates with a strong service mindset and high standards for quality and responsiveness.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the Mutual Fund Operations team, you will provide a broad range of operational support and process both general and specialized transactions. Work is received through an imaging and workflow system, where scanned client requests are reviewed, interpreted, and accurately entered into internal systems of record.

Key Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately, efficiently, and within established service level agreements (SLAs)
• Review imaged client documentation and translate requests into the appropriate internal systems
• Perform high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
• Support the processing of various financial transactions, including some that require analysis or calculations
• Investigate and escalate operational or processing issues as needed to ensure timely resolution
• Validate incoming transaction details and make adjustments within established authority levels
• Respond to internal partner requests in a professional, timely, and effective manner
• Prioritize workload effectively to meet service and productivity expectations
• Maintain a strong understanding of internal policies, procedures, and industry regulations
• Exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and service delivery
• Escalate non-standard or higher-risk items appropriately
• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, including risk and control frameworks such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Business Continuity, and internal Codes of Conduct

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

• Fully bilingual in English and French
• Previous knowledge of or experience with banking and/or financial products (Relevant certifications will also be considered such as CSC, IFIC, etc.)

Nice to Have (Not Mandatory, but a Bonus):

• Experience in banking operations, ideally within Mutual Fund Operations
• Exposure to registered products such as RESPs or RRIFs
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through transaction-related calculations
• Experience with technical or automation tools such as:
  • Advanced Excel / complex macros
  • EUC development
  • SQL
