Summary

A great opportunity for an experienced fiber construction professional to join a growing team as a Quality Control Fiber Inspector. This is a full-time direct-hire position focused on inspecting FTTH/FOB fiber construction, worksite restoration, subcontractor performance, and overall build quality. The ideal candidate will have strong wireline fiber construction experience and a solid understanding of construction engineering and underground utilities.

This is a field-focused opportunity with a stable organization supporting telecommunications infrastructure construction. Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong fiber construction experience, specifically FTTH/FOB
  • Wireline telecommunications experience required; wireless experience does not apply
  • Experience within telecommunications or utility construction/maintenance
  • Experience with construction engineering
  • Stable work history
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps, prints, and blueprints
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with installation, repair, maintenance, and locating underground utilities
  • Experience inspecting telecommunications or utility construction work
  • Experience working with employees, subcontractors, crews, safety teams, and field management
  • Experience resolving customer or homeowner complaints
  • Local candidates in the Northwest Atlanta area, including Cobb County, Douglasville, or Villa Rica

What You Will Be Doing
  • Inspect jobs and worksite restoration to ensure work performed by employees and subcontractors meets quality expectations, customer standards, and contract requirements
  • Review utility maps and prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities
  • Operate electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits
  • Contact subcontractors daily for job follow-up
  • Coordinate activities with crews, subcontractors, Safety, and field management
  • Assist with resolving customer and homeowner complaints
