Summary
Title: Workday Financial Principal Analyst
Role Overview:
The Principal Workday Analyst is a subject matter expert responsible for evaluating, designing, and executing solutions that maximize the effectiveness of the Workday platform. This position is directly involved in system evaluation and analysis resulting in operational improvements within the Finance vertical. Mis a rapidly growing healthcare organization expanding their footprint within Workday and geographically across the state. This person will have autonomy to work across financial modules and help the organization grow with the platform as they explore all that Workday has to offer.
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, design, and execute solutions that maximize the effectiveness of the Workday platform within the Finance vertical
- Reporting and Analysis, Business Process Configuration including documentation and governance models
- Complete business requirements documents to outline requirements and technical solutions
- Complete change request models and present to change control for feedback, approval, and design adjustments
- Design dashboards and other data visualization tools for business users
- Provide support or manage analysts in Workday platform; mentor analysts to provide robust analytical and technical solutions to business problems
- Review business requirements to ensure accuracy and provide Level of Work estimates for projects
- Facilitate projects to ensure completion
- Independently and effectively design, troubleshoot, and resolve reported complex system issues
- Collaborate with customers, peers, technical, and operations staff to solve complex business problems
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-7 years working as a Workday Financial Analyst with 6+ years Workday sustainment experience in configuration or as an implementor with a Partner (preferably)
- Configuration: Experience with configurations related to the financial module within Workday
- Solution Design: Experience evaluating, designing, and executing solutions to maximize the effectiveness of the Workday platform
- Financial Modules: Experience with any or all of the following: Cash & Banking, Customer Accounts, Financial Accounting (including month-end close), Business Assets, Budgets, FDM, Accounting Center, Grants
- FDM Knowledge: Must have solid FDM (Financial Data Model) knowledge and experience
- Accounting Background: Must have an accounting background. Controller experience and/or CPA License preferred
- Education: Bachelor's degree or 5+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Business Operations: 6+ years business operations experience in vertical area
Nice to Have:
- Workday Pro certification or Implementation certification from Partner (willing to attain Workday Pro certification within 12 months of hire)
- Previous experience at Workday Implementation Partner
- Healthcare or University experience
- Background in identifying, designing, testing, and deploying business operations processes, procedures, and best practices
