We have an immediate need for a Senior Cloud Data Governance Consultant for a hybrid opportunity in Richardson, TX 75080. This role is ideal for an experienced data governance professional with strong expertise in metadata management, cloud data governance platforms, and enterprise data architecture initiatives within large-scale business environments.

In this role, you will lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing governance of enterprise data catalog and metadata management solutions using Alation. You will work closely with data engineering, analytics, manufacturing, finance, and supply chain teams to establish trusted metadata frameworks, business glossaries, critical data elements, and governance standards across enterprise data domains. The role involves integrating catalog and lineage capabilities with enterprise data lakes, ETL pipelines, BI platforms, ERP systems, and MES applications to improve data discoverability, governance, lineage, and compliance. You will also develop automation solutions and metadata pipelines using Python and SQL to streamline governance processes, improve metadata quality, and support scalable enterprise data management strategies. Additionally, you will contribute to governance best practices, metadata standardization, data stewardship initiatives, and enterprise reporting capabilities while ensuring trusted, high-quality, and auditable data assets across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Alation, SQL, Python, metadata management, data governance, and enterprise data architecture. Experience integrating governance platforms with ETL systems, data lakes, analytics environments, ERP platforms, and operational manufacturing systems is highly preferred. Strong analytical thinking, communication, stakeholder collaboration, and data governance leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
