Summary

Position: Data Analyst
Location: Las Vegas NV
Type: 6-12 Months

Note: This is contract to hire role, Someone who can be on full time without sponsorship.
Essential Functions:

  • Define, maintain, and enforce data standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and reliability across systems
  • Monitor and resolve data quality issues
  • Collaborate with data owners, analysts, and IT teams to improve data processes.
  • Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and documentation
  • Support data governance frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Assist in data integration, migration, and transformation efforts
  1. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across various systems and platforms.
  2. Monitor and enforce data standards, data definitions, and data lifecycle management.
  3. Conduct data audits and data profiling to identify and address data quality issues.
  4. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data-related projects and initiatives.
  5. Identify and resolve application performance and availability issues in a cost-effective and timely fashion.
  6. Translate business needs into technical specifications, business rules and source to target data mappings for IT development teams to implement.
  7. Perform data analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  8. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings.
  9. Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business goals.
  11. Provide training and support to business users on data management practices and tools.
  12. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  13. Identify opportunities for process improvements related to data management and business analysis.
  14. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data governance and business intelligence.
  15. Recommend and implement enhancements to data systems and business processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)) are a plus.
  2. At least two (2) years of experience in data management or data stewardship roles.
  3. Working knowledge in Hospitality, Gaming and/or Accounting applications, and others.
  4. Proven experience with data governance tools, data quality tools, and business intelligence platforms.
  5. Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Cognos, Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  6. Working knowledge of agile principles and practices.
  7. Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively with Stakeholders, Team Members, Product Owners, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  9. Must be able to work on call on a rotational basis as required.
  10. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
