Industrial Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a floor-oriented Industrial Engineer to collaborate with process owners, analyze manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop optimized Value Stream Mapping (VSM) process maps.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with designated process owners to understand current processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather input and validate proposed changes.

Process Streamlining:

• nalyze and streamline identified processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Eliminate redundancies and bottlenecks.
• Incorporate improvements into proposed Value Stream Mapping (VSM) documentation.

Value Stream Mapping (VSM):

• Conduct VSM sessions with Thales process owners covering ten identified processes.
• Visualize processes, identify waste, and recommend improvements.

Documentation:

• Recommend and document new VSM process maps that demonstrate improved efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• bility to read and interpret engineering prints.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement.
• Strong shop-floor communication skills, including the ability to work directly with assembly workers.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• bility to work effectively within cross-functional teams and independently when needed.
• Basic metrology experience using calipers, straight edges, and measuring tapes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fiberglass manufacturing experience.
• utomotive or agricultural industry experience.
• Tool design experience.
• Industrial Engineering experience is acceptable, although the role is primarily floor oriented.
