WordPress Developer

Description

We are looking for a WordPress Developer to support and enhance a retail organization's web presence in Newport, Minnesota. This Contract position focuses on maintaining a stable, secure, and high-performing WordPress environment through hands-on troubleshooting, routine upkeep, and timely updates. The ideal candidate brings practical web development experience and can work across front-end and supporting platform technologies to keep sites operating smoothly.

Responsibilities:
Maintain and support WordPress websites by resolving technical issues and addressing day-to-day platform needs.
Perform regular updates, patching, and preventive maintenance to promote website security and reliability.
Troubleshoot site functionality, styling, and performance issues across WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript components.
Implement enhancements and fixes to improve usability, responsiveness, and overall site operation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify web support priorities and deliver effective technical solutions.
Work with source control practices in GitHub to manage code changes and maintain development quality.
Support integrations or web assets connected to technologies such as ASP.NET and Azure Blob Storage when needed.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in web development, including hands-on WordPress development.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for building, updating, and troubleshooting web interfaces.
Experience maintaining WordPress environments, including plugin updates, patching, and issue resolution.
Familiarity with ASP.NET and the ability to work within mixed-technology web environments.
Working knowledge of Azure Blob Storage in relation to web content or asset management.
Experience using GitHub for version control and collaborative development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve website issues efficiently.
