AI Engineer/ Prompt Security

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AI Engineer/Prompt Security in Doral, FL.

Primary Responsibilities include:
* Use strong coding experience and AI agent experience to help application teams improve how AI agents are built, instructed, and secured
* Evaluate AI system prompts and identify where they need to be improved, secured, critiqued, or fine-tuned
* Make recommendations to different application teams so prompts support a more secure AI experience and better end-user/consumer experience
* Support rollout of enterprise AI security posture capabilities, including red teaming AI agents and helping validate AI-related risk across the environment
* Contribute to an IGA solution around AI that tracks every permission an AI agent has and is using in real time, especially where prompt design and agent behavior intersect with permissions and access

Python is super important for development; The role will also involve AI agents, AI system prompts, prompt evaluation/fine-tuning, AI security posture management tooling, AI red teaming capabilities, IGA tooling around AI permissions, and foundational AI/security concepts such as OWASP/OAuth Top 10-type knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years (mid-level) in software/security engineering, AI/ML, or platform engineering in a large enterprise setting, with a strong track record building automation and tooling
* Hands-on Python development and CI/CD integration. Identity and Access Management fundamentals. Applied use of the NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLM
* Strong software-engineering fundamentals-scripting, programming, and automation (especially Python)-for building security tooling, guardrails, and evaluation harnesses, with sound practices in version control, testing, and CI/CD
* Working knowledge of GenAI/LLM and agentic design patterns and protocols (agents, MCP) and prompt-security concepts (prompt injection, jailbreaks, tool misuse)
* Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management and data security/privacy controls (PHI/PII, encryption)
* Applied understanding of the NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLM
* Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining AI security risks to non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
