Description
Hands-on UX Designer to diagnose and fix UX problems across the community (BetterMode), marketing website, LMS, and mobile app. Runs research, interprets analytics, ships improvements. Visual direction comes from our Creative Director-we need someone focused on research, user flows, and problem-solving.
The mobile app (React Native) is deployed to both mobile and web. The current web experience needs platform-appropriate optimization.
Community Engagement Design: BetterMode UX optimization, social features, user progression systems, and community health interfaces
Marketing Website UX: Conversion optimization, landing page design, lead generation flows, and A/B testing implementation
Cross-Platform Integration: Primary coordination point for design system consistency and user journey mapping across web platforms
Conversion & Monetization UX: Premium membership flows, workshop discovery interfaces, community-driven revenue optimization
Content Discovery Design: User-friendly content serving, search optimization, and recommendation interface design
B2B Integration: Corporate event participant experiences and partnership integration design (McLaren, KWK)
Drives clarity from ambiguity: Figures it out through research or informed judgment-doesn't escalate questions or wait for answers.
Visible, consistent throughput: Ships work regularly. Doesn't disappear for weeks.
Articulate and persuasive: Can present a clear POV and advocate for users. Commands attention.
Research-driven but action-oriented: Uses research to move faster, not slower.
Works within platform constraints: Improves UX using existing tools before recommending custom development.
Rapid prototyping: Produces quick interactive wireframes to test ideas before dev investment.
Agency or startup background preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
