Technical Program Manager - Hybrid

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Technical Program Manager for a hybrid position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Menlo Park, CA. This is a 7+ month contract opportunity.

The main function of this role is to provide successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex programs that require cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance or accounting background focused on analysis and decision support, managing programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time and budget under circumstances involving multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors
• Conduct program-level strategic planning, interaction with executive level management, and complex issue resolution
• Manage internal and matrixed employees and contractors to deliver systems and systems enhancements that meet specified requirements
• Oversee project scope definition and management, requirements gathering, time estimating, and project schedule development and tracking
• Manage project budget, project status reporting, issue and risk management, and contingency planning
• Handle customer interaction and communications across multiple organizational levels

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, computer engineering) or finance/corporate development
• Finance/accounting background focused on analysis and decision support (not operations)
• Strong project/program management skills with the ability to handle projects and fluid, shifting timelines
• Experience with project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, and implementation planning in large organizations
• Proven people management and team building skills
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible/adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
• Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
• Experience with the software development lifecycle

Desired skills:

• MBA and PMP/PMI certification
• AI tooling proficiency
• Proficiency with G Suite and virtual data rooms
• Proactiveness with a strong sense of urgency

Pay range: up to $141.19 per hour
